The ADS DynaFET model has two main advantages: it can accurately predict the dynamic memory effect due to heat and trapping phenomena, and thus predict the gain and power added efficiency (PAE) with unprecedented accuracy. For RF PA circuit design, these are very important advantages. This dedicated measurement software can be implemented on the Nederline's Nonlinear Network Analyzer (NVNA) to collect a large amount of signal data. The waveforms formed by the dynamic load lines measured at different RF power, bias point, and output impedance can be fed directly into the IC-CAP 2016 extraction kit. Another key feature of the IC-CAP 2016 is a significant increase in the measurement speed of the Keysight E5270, B1500A and B1505A instrument drivers, which is three times faster than previous versions of the software.
